Sunil Chhetri

Sunil Chhetri (also known as Sunil Chettri or Sunil Chetri) is the young star of indian football. Striker by postition sunil is seen by many as a long term replacement for bhaichung bhutia. Born on 3rd august 1984, Chettri played football for a delhi based club. He has rapidly changed clubs including some top flight indian clubs like mohun bagan and JCT FC. Currently chettri represents East Bengal Club. From one performance to another, chettri has gone a long way in imporving himself as a striker; to the extent that he has been awarded the AIFF player of the year.

Sunil Chettri's Career So Far

Chettri made his international debut in 2004 when he got selected to play for india in the AFC cup. His best performance came against tazakistan when he managed to score a hattrick. Sunil has always been known for his work rate and ability to score at will. He has a threatening pace and is a trouble for many defenders around the globe. At a young age, chettri has managed to score 15 international goals.

Bhutia's Replacement

Many believe that this young striker from delhi is a definite replacement for ace striker bhaichung bhutia. Sunil has scored in games where bhutia was either out or not in good nick. His awards and accolades are just rewards for his tremendous performances. The country is sure to have a better football prospect given such talented strikers in the kitty.
