If you go to Varanasi for a tour it would primarily include visiting temples at the ghats in this holy city. Each temple speaks of its own story and is unique. The Durga Temple is amongst the favourites as Durga symbolises power. The Durga temple is also known as Monkey Temple as there is a huge presence of monkeys at the temple. Another unique temple is the Bharat Mata temple which is dedicated to the nation and enables tourists to see the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the country. The Tulsi Manas Temple which is dedicated to Lord Rama and Kashi Vishwanath Temple are some of the other temples to be visited.

Not only are the temples that are dotted along the ghats an attraction to tourists but it is the ghats as well that pull in huge number of tourists every year. There are many ghats near the river Ganga and each one has a special significance. The Dashashwamedha Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat and Asi Ghat are some of the famous ghats of the city. Out of these ghats the Dashashwamedha Ghat is the busiest ghat where you would get to see activities like pilgrims bathing in Ganga or sadhus performing pujas or a washerman washing clothes on the bank and much more.
