W.B. NUJS Kolkata[edit]

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences was established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IX of 1999) adopted by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999.

NUJS is organized into different schools of studies for integrated and research-based learning and extension activities such as the School of Criminal Justice & Administration; School of Technology, Law and Sustainable Development; School of Economic Laws and Governance; School of Public Law, Human Rights and International Co-operation; and School of Clinical Education and Professional Development.

W.B. NUJS Kolkata Admission Procedure:[edit]

Admission to Undergraduate Programme would be through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

W.B. NUJS Kolkata Eligiblity:[edit]

Undergradute Programme
12th standard with 50% marks in aggregate taking English and core subjects together and 35% marks in each subject. Age Limit: 21 years (22 for SC/ST) as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Postgraduate Programme:
50% marks in aggregate in LL.B.

B.Sc./B.A. LL.B. (Hons): 125 seats (78 General, 15 reserved for SC, 8 for ST, 2 for physically handicapped, 4 for Foreign Nationals and 18 for NRI sponsored students).
LL.M.: 10 seats (8 for Indians & 2 for Foreign Nationals).

W.B. NUJS Kolkata Library:[edit]

The University Central Library occupies a central location commanding a spectacular view of the quadrangle and hostels. The reading room is spread over 758 sq. metres of floorspace, providing 400 seats. As of 2006 the Library has a collection of more than 10000 books and more than 5000 volumes of bound periodicals as well a sizeable collection of electronic materials in CD-ROMs and legal databases providing online access via major legal platforms including SCC, Grand Jurix, and Manupatra online.
