I am Hillolini Debnath, staying in Kolkata now. I am not aware of the process for sending request in Consumer office. I need some help. Please help me.
Below mention is the problem I am facing now.
My father was doing store agent business. He is no more now. He had deposited Rs. 50,000/- in Union bank of India (Orissa, Jajpur) as a security deposit for his business as per the government rule in the year 1999. As per the normal deposit process if some one not withdraws his money after its maturity (5 years time period that time), the deposited money should continue for next years and now it should be more than Rs. 2,00,000/-. Last 5 months back my mother had gone for withdraw. The bankers were just playing with my mother like come tomorrow…then come next week………..so on. After long time and continuously running behind them, they were telling that you can’t get the amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- because you haven’t renew it and only given a check of Rs. 90,000/-.
I told my mother to go to Consumer office in Orissa. They told to hire a layer for the same and also told a layer name. Then my mother went to him. He asked for Rs. 400/- only for checking that our case is feasible or not. He took one month for that. Yesterday he was asking for Rs 3000/- to start case against bank in consumer court.
I don’t know may be he will ask for more money next and also how many days he will take to solve this issue or in any way he will solve or not.
Please help me in this case. I don’t know what I should do in this case. I am waiting for your reply.

I have recently purchased a I ball 5.1 speaker.I bought it for 6400 Rs with bill and when i checked with my friend he has bought it for 3200 Rs. I was cheated by the guys in richi street,chennai
When i called him and checked he says that the product which my friend bought might not be original.Then i enquired with Iball sales head and the MRP was 3650 and no one can sell it over that.
The shop name is fu-tronicx. It is just near to the lotus computers at richi street.
I would like to go to consumer court. The price is twice the MRP rate. I hope this can be taken as a complaint
FACT SHEET OF SAHARA’S
FACT SHEET OF SAHARA’S CHENNAI HOUSING PROJECT :
1. Sahara advertised through Newspaper, Pamphlets, Brochures that they would construct world class residential complexes and hand over the same to the peoples who are booking the flats, raw houses in their projects by 2007. (copy of the brochure available) They have office at ground floor, Deshbandhu Plaza, # 47 Whites Road, Royapettah, Chennai – 600014.
2. Based on these promises they started collecting the money. They collected 5% as booking advances and 10% in 24 EMI. The remaining 85% was to be financed by either Sahara with interest in EMI or by any bank or own sources. (copy of the price list and the working available) Total 1345 people booked their dwelling house with Sahara in their Chennai Project.(a list of the same is available)
3. After collecting initial 5% advance and around 6-7 EMI’s (all copies other receipts available) , Sahara stopped collecting the EMIs saying that the collection will resume upon starting of the work at their Chennai project.
4. Till today there is no activity at their site.
5. They have not organised even a site visit even after our several requests.
6. A joint memorandum to know the status of project was submitted th. registered post to their Zonal Office, Corporate Office and Regd Office, by the association of the members on 13.03.2010, is not yet replied by Sahara.
7. Their re-classification Application no R1/28528/07 for 47.44.50 Hectares for township at Veera Raghavpuram Village, is returned by the CMDA, is yet to re-submit by Sahara.
8. They have not yet obtained the CMDA approval.
9. In this regard a meeting was organised by the Sahara’s Chennai office with one Mr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Chief Manager who came from their Registered Office in Lucknow, on 21.03.2010 and agreed to send a written reply to our queries . There is no response to the meeting from Mr. Naresh Kumar.
10. In this regard we have received an e-mail from the office of Sahara Prime City Limited, which has mention “process for attaining Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Certification, which has been mandated by the Government for protection of environment, is also underway. Since this process involves approvals from government at various levels, therefore as a tentative estimate, it would take approximately 15 months for receipt of all relevant approvals and launch of the project.” It adds further “However, in case it is not possible for you to hold your booking any longer under the present scenario, we would like to reassure you that should you so desire, your booking amount can be refunded along with interest @6% p.a. thereupon”
11. A letter was submitted with Sahara Prime City Limited on 19.5.2010, demanding followings :
a. Demand for proportionate Delay compensation.
b. Demand for a site visit.
c. Demand to intimate latest status of approval process.
d. Demand to show the sale deed of land purchased for the Chennai township project.
e. A meeting with Sr. Sahara Officials wherein all investors of the Chennai project should be invited.
12. A time of 15 days was given to SAHARA PRIME CITY LIMITED to respond to our letter.
13. The time expired on 3rd of June,2010 and the office of Sahara preferred to lodge a police complaint against the Secretary of Association.
The way the officials behaves, neither they are replying to the correspondences nor responding to the calls of the investors, it clearly proves that the money was collected with ulterior motives.
Now when the investors are pressurising to provide the dwelling houses (after 6 years), the office of SAHARA PRIME CITY LIMITED is using muscle power to silence the voice for justice.

We reposed full faith and credibility in your company. As per your letter dated 24th Nov, 2009 it was clearly stated that customers will be intimated for allotment during the month of December 2009.
But due to our utter shock and disbelief till date the allotment process had not be finalized by the company. It seems that the company is playing mockery with our hand earned money. The customers have been kept in dark and utter state of confusion regarding the process of allotment.
Despite repeated phone calls we never got a satisfactory reply from any our your executives. Another feather to disbelief is the announcing of Revised Prices of apartment as on 08/03/2010 without any intimation to old customers about the allotment. This shows that the company is intentionally delaying the allotment process to reap more profits. We want clear answers to our queries otherwise we will be forced to take strict action against the company.

I bought a pair of Relaxo Sparx shoes Model Number SM50 from the Relaxo retail outlet situated at 144, shopping mall, DLF Phase 1 , Arjun Marg vide invoice number 0281006082 dated 11/03/2010.
While buying the shoes I made it very clear to the salesman Mr Mukesh Jha to show me shoes that are not pointed from the front but wider as my feet are wide from the front.
Mr Mukesh Jha in his enthusiasm sold me a pair which was tight in my feet and despite my repeatedly telling him that I am feeling uncomfortable in the shoes, he said since its a new shoe it feels tight but in 2 to 3 days time it will adjust. I said if it doesnt then, he replied that he will replace the shoes in that case.
Within 4 -5 days of wearing the shoes I noticed some bleeding from my toes and reported the matter to the Sparx Showroom, with my blood soaked socks and injured toe, from where I bought the shoes. He looked at my feet and agreed that the shoe was tight and took the pair from me for replacement.
After a period of nearly two weeks he returned the pair to me saying that he can not replace the pair.
I demand that the senior company officials intervene in the matter and either refund me with my money or give me a replacement pair of shoes of equal value which is wider than this pair of shoes.
