Freelance web design work

Sir,

I am an experienced web designer. I myself (alone with no friends and colleagues)do freelance work from home with my own PC with internet. I am staying in a rented house in Belghoria, Kolkata. Should i apply for a Trade License. This will help me getting payments easier.

Any suggestion will be heartily welcome.
