Ajit Pal Singh
Ajit Pal Singh was the captain of the Indian Hockey Team. He was born on 1st April 1947 in Sansarpur, Punjab. Ajit used to paly at the Center – half position and was an outstanding player in the Indian Hockey team. Ajit was the Captain of the Indian Team in the 1975 World Cup that maiden Cup to the Country.
Professional Life of Ajit Pal Singh
He made his International Debut in the year 1966 and In 1967, with his dexterous display in the Pre Olympic tournament in London, he was selected in the Indian hockey team and for the 1968 Mexico Olympic.
Ajit Pal Represented India at the 1970 Bangkok Asian Game and the team finished second. In 1974, he captained the Indian team that took part in the Teheran Asian Games and finished as the runner up team. Ajit Pal was the captain of the Indian Hockey team in the 1975 World Cup and led India to the Victory against the archrivals Pakistan. He also captained the Indian Hockeyteam at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.
