COLORS, the Hindi General Entertainment channel by Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd (A joint venture between Viacom Inc and Network18). The programs range across genres – fiction-based social family dramas, fun-filled chat shows, high-voltage action reality shows, and blockbuster Hindi movies. 'COLORS' had its inception on July 21st, 2008.
COLORS announced its acquisition of some of India’s latest blockbuster Hindi movies like Singh Is King, Bhootnath, Heyy Baby, Om Shanti Om, One Two Three, Dus Kahanniya, Sunday amongst many others that will further strengthen its offering to its viewers and will be shown every Sunday at 4 PM. The channel is a combination of ‘emotions’ and ‘variety’. It telecasts everything from drama, mythology, reality shows and movies. Its tagline is 'Jasbaat Ke Rang'(Colors of Emotions).
One of its popular programs is Balika Vadhu. ‘Balika Vadhu’ traces the arduous journey of child bride Anandi from the brink of childhood to womanhood. Married at the tender age of eight, to an equally young Jagdish, she enters a new world which is at once alienating and confusing. and torn away from the merriment of childhood and her family, she has to accept and accustom herself to this new family of strangers, new relationships and accept her roles as a friend, lover, wife and a mother as she forges her way in the world. ‘Balika Vadhu’ very sensitively portrays the plight of children who are unwittingly forced into marriage, in the name of tradition, and have to bear the repercussions for the rest of their lives.

‘Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka’ is an emotional saga set in Lucknow which revolves around Jhanvi Aggarwal who is an intelligent, simple and mature girl.
