DPS Vasant Kunj was set up in the year of 1991. The basic objective of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj is basically to focus on the educational career of the students as well as developing the morally and well-integrated values in an individual.

This school is co-educational day school, which has earned fame amongst the other residential schools all over India. The school was set up under the guidance of school Principal, Mr. Vinay Kumar. DPS Vasant Kunj in the previous 15 years have emerged out to be a prominent education institution and has also emerged as an excellent academic renowned school all over the country.

DPS Vasant Kunj boasts of a sum total of over 205 faulty members at the junior and senior level. The teachers at DPS are dedicated and high-qualified along with excellent teaching and personality background. DPS Vasant Kunj boasts of four blocks, which include:

  • A Block – this block has administrative offices of Vice- Principal and Principal along with 10th, 11th and 12th standard classrooms.
  • B Block – this block has Head Mistress office along with the classrooms of 2nd to 4th standard students.
  • C Block – This block has Classrooms for 1st standard students, Prep and Nursery class.
  • D Block – It comprises classrooms of 7th, 8th and 9th standard.

Co-curricular activities:

  • DPS Vasant Kunj Quiz Club: the club started unofficially in 2004 and became a certified Delhi club in 2006. DPS, V.K., Quiz Club is the first organization to have its website within the country. The school is a pioneer to use the technology for quiz purposes.
  • Environment Club: It was established with an intention to keep the environment clean and clear. At present over 100 active volunteers participate in several activities such as waste management, tree plantation, and workshops for air monitoring, anti-cracker campaigns and many more.
  • Sports: Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj is well-known for games team.

Facilities at DPS Vasant Kunj

To provide the students with the accommodation, the institution comprises a hostel. It was established in 1999 in the month of July. The facility of hostel accommodation is accessible for 6th standard to 12th standard students.

Besides offering a clean ambiance, the students living in the hostel also get academic assistance. The hostel has a mess that provides students with a balanced diet and takes care of their daily dietary requirements.
