Pushkar is a Holy Place in Rajasthan famous for its only lord Bramha temple in the world as well as it huge animal fair. Pushkar is a Sanskrit word which means Lotus.

The city of pushkar has around 400 lakes and the Bramha temple was built in 14th century. It also has a huge statute of varah (boar) with body of human and head of wild boar. Unfortunately the temples were damaged severely by Aurangazeb. There are 52 Ghats in Pushkar around its ponds where people take holy dip.

To reach Pushkar, you can take a bus or taxi from ajmer.
