Requirements For Becoming A Corporate Agent Of Oriental Insurance

One can always choose to become a corporate agent of Oriental Insurance. The procedure for becoming a corporate agent is quite simple and hassel free. For becoming a corporate agent one has to fulfill certain important criteria that are prescribed by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).

Required criteria

  • The applicant is required to be a Company whose main business should not be the distribution of any kind of insurance products.
  • The corporate agent is expected to canvas insurance products with the assistance from the insurance professionals who in turn have the required to possess qualifications that are already specified in the regulations.
  • The concerned officers who are marketing insurance products need to be whole time employees of the company. Further, at least one person should possess insurance qualification in FFII or AFI that are already specified in the regulations.
  • All persons who are involved in the distribution of f insurance products need to posses qualification and training that are prescribed for agents.

Submission of the documents

If you fit the bill then you can submit an application for becoming a corporate agent stating the details regarding your company and the employees who you intend to involve the distribution of the insurance products to the nearest regional office or the divisional office of the Oriental Insurance.

After the submission of the necessary documents training and examination of the selected candidates will be organized. On successful completion of this training and examination, a Corporate Agents’ License would be issued to the candidates by the head office of the Oriental Insurance.
