Sunitha rao was born on 27th October 1985 in New Jersey, United States to a Telugu Speaking Family and is a Indian tennis player. Sunitha Rao is coached by Bill Eastburn and her favorite short is backhand. She prefers hard courts and always play an attacking baseline game. She used to play for the United States tennis Association (USTA) but when the association came to know about her application to represent India, they stopped her from any kind of support. Sunitha played her first doubles at the age of 12 and at the age of 16 she played her professional tournament. She paired with <a href="/node/64394">Sania Mirza</a> in the 2008 Beijing Olympics for India in the womens doubles events. She ranks 144 in Singles and 108 in doubles in the world.
