Saina Nehwal

Saina Nehwal (b. 17 March 1990) is an Indian woman badminton player. Saina is Currently ranked world 15. Her current Coach is Pullela Gopichand, India's former Badminton Player.

She has been the runner-up twice in the National women's single event, losing both times to Aparna Popat in the final. She has won twice the Asian Satellite Badminton Tournament.

Saina Nehwal lost to Maria Kristin Yulianti of Indonesia by 28-26, 14-21, 15-21 in a more than one hour long Quarter Final at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium. She had beaten world No.6 Wang Chen of Hong Kong to Enter into Quarter final of Beijing Olympics

Her match with Wang chen was sheer display of talent and commitment to win a medal. I'm sure she'll leave no stone unturned to give us one more moment of pride .

Its kind of ironic, that Sania Mirza who gets all the lime light and sponsorships lost on the same day. Saina has to won 2 more Rounds to win any medal though. Update - Saina Nehwal lost into Quarter Finals, so she can't won any medal in this Olympics but still a brave performance.

i saw the match between saina and yulanti.I liked sainas attacking game all the time.but she gave far too many points easily to her opponent after taking a slender advantage.I respect her opponents strong defensive tactics.sania slipped an easy chance for an olympic gold.
